Dc micromotor works longer
A new motor design, Smartshell, exceeds the operating lifetime of electromechanical commutated dc micromotors. The all-in-one design concept — lamination stack, coil, and PCB combined in a single molded component — provides motors with a durable housing. The rotor consists of a permanent (NdFeB) magnet fitted onto a through-shaft supported by preloaded ball bearings. The motors are available in different frame sizes and can be fitted with different optional modules, such as analog or digital hall sensors. The phase-commutation sequence of the motor is made electronically by an external servo amp. Precision gearheads adapt the rotation speed for the application.
