Long Ball Screw Hits 96 m/min
The AGK ball-screw drive unit from Bosch Rexroth Corp.'s Linear and Motion Assembly Technologies Group, Charlotte, N.C., (boschrexroth-us.com) adds ball-screw precision and boosts speed for extended length applications. A high-performance ball screw in a rigid aluminum housing allows hitting speeds to 96 m/min, even in extreme environments. Screw supports and optimized bearing configurations reduce screw whip, for speed improvements to five times traditional technologies. The AGK is available in ball screw accuracy classes 5, 7, and 9, and in sizes 20x, 32x, and 40x and suits high-speed, high-precision machines where clearance or environmental conditions require a compact, protected ball-screw-drive system.
Standard stainless-steel cover strips prevent dust or contaminants from damaging the screw. Integrated carriage connections simplify assembly, and two funnel-type lube nipples on the carriage are easily accessible.
