Servo motors can eliminate gear box

The AM3500 series servo motors from Beckhoff Automation have a high moment of inertia, making them well suited for machine tools with stringent synchronism requirements as in medical manufacture. These motors can eliminate a gear box in high-inertia applications such as rotary tables.

The motor flanges, connectors, and shafts of the new AM3500 series are compatible with Beckhoff AM3000 motors. The AM3500 models are available with flange sizes 3 to 6, torques between 1.9 and 15 Nm and rated speeds of 3,000 and 6,000 rpm. Resolvers or absolute encoders (single- or multiturn) are available as a feedback system. The standard protection class is IP 64 with IP 65/67 available as an option. This motor series is CE-, UL- and CSA-listed.
