How to Synchronize Over 200 Axes

Servoshaft software is said to reduce programming time and make it easier to optimize machine performance. A GUI in the software, from Danaher Motion, Wood Dale, Ill., (danahermotion.com), simplifies tasks. The developer says the software can synchronize more than complex 200 axes and make it easier to switch from old, mechanical control systems to modern, multi-axis systems.

A Soft PLC in the software meets IEC standard 61131-3 and supports the SFC, FBD, LD, ST, and IL programming languages. An OPC server allows communicating with Scada systems. The software supports data exchange with Profibus and CANopen. Integrated development tools include a complete set of IEC 61131-3 editor programs and a particularly fast compiler program. A graphic Motion Editor program has access to a comprehensive group of movements and a soft oscilloscope helps troubleshoot problems.
