At-home injections require patient-focused design

By unifying the process of design from early stage concept, through human factors analysis and finally to device development and manufacture, pharmaceutical companies, in conjunction with their partnering manufacturing company, will be able to align their device or delivery system to meet the needs of the end-user while bringing a unique delivery system to market.

From material handling system to lift-assistance devices for at-home care

Creform Stand-Up series

The Creform Stand-Up series, is designed to provide self-lift assistance anywhere a physically challenged person may be sitting or laying down.

An established maker of plasticcoated steel pipes and joints for creating material handling structures, Creform Corp is introducing a series of personal-assist products for the home healthcare market.

The Stand-Up series is designed to provide self-lift assistance anywhere a physically challenged person may be sitting or laying down, either in a bed, chair, couch, or wheelchair. Once standing, a person can transfer to a wheelchair, walker or other mobility assistance device. The Stand-Up units are portable, yet stable, and do not require permanent installation. They fit under most furniture and have a low-profile stainless steel base with a rubber edge that grips any floor surface. The height-adjustable supports are 32mm diam plastic-coated steel pipes that have a woodgrain finish with good gripping characteristics. Optional glow strips for nighttime safety are available. Structures are assembled using plastic joints, which have a smooth transition from joint to pipe. The Creform Stand-Up series of devices have been in use for over 25 years in Japan.
