Single-chip solutions

The 75 MSPS dual-channel AD9978A and the 72 MSPS quad-channel ADDI7004 integrated 14-bit HD image signal processors by Analog Devices, Inc, Norwood, MA, are single-chip solutions that enable designers to create multichannel CCD (charge-coupled device) or CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) HD image acquisition systems that can deliver the clarity, visibility, and accuracy to meet high-resolution requirements while consuming very little power – 280 mW (milliwatts) and 530 mW, respectively.
