The CSS65 series of 40 to 65 W ac-dc medical power supplies by TDK-Lambda, San Diego, have a standard footprint of 2 x 4 in and are just 1.18 in. high. The open-frame power supplies can be used worldwide as they feature a universal 90 to 264 Vac, and 47 to 63Hz input. The devices can also operate from a 120 to 300 Vdc input, and they have a leakage current of less than 250 µA at 264 Vac, 63 Hz, an important feature for medical applications. In addition, the CSS65 series is designed to withstand 4 kVac, input-to-output.
