Potting gels cure quickly under UV light
RTV 800 series UV gels offer two different products of varying hardness with good electrical properties. With cure speeds of less than three seconds and potting opportunities up to ¼-in. thick these gel materials are ideal for encapsulating and staking sensitive electronic components. The materials allow paste-like products to cure up to 5/8-in. thick with minimal energy requirements.

One-U microbox rack mounts
A 19-in. rackmount MicroBox holds up to 10 modules (mid-size, single width) in a compact 1U height and has one of the smallest form factor of any deployable MicroTCA unit. The microbox can hold six AMCs, a power module, and a J-TAG switch module from MicroBlade, and 1 MicroTCA carrier hub. Redundant Star signaling and redundant cooling modules add to its reliability.

Hard materials for tough tasks
Ceramics, synthetic sapphire, quartz, tungsten carbide, and platinum can be turned into products based on customer drawings. These ultra-hard materials can be mirror polished for low friction, scratch-free surfaces that resist wear and many acids and alkalis. The nonmetalics can be thermal and electrical insulators. These precision components are attached to other parts by brazing, laser welding, press fitting, crimping, or gluing. The materials resist wear, have a hardness exceeded only by diamond, work at high temperatures (over 2,000C), and in optics, visible and infra-red.

Self-lubricating bushings last longer than conventional
A family of self-lubricating linear bushings comes in assorted styles, with straight or mini-flanged versions available. The bushings carry three times the rated life span of conventional bushings. The performance of these bushings comes from the design of an MX lubrication unit. An integral fiber pad delivers the lubricant to the shaft surface through a capillary action, thus maintaining a constant lubricating film between ball bearing and shaft. As a result, maintenance intervals are extended considerably, a significant time saver for applications involving numerous mountings or difficult access.
